L’équipe en charge du développement des drivers graphiques d’AMD propose une nouvelle version des Radeon Software Crimson. Estampillées 16.11.2 Hotfix, elle débarque 24 heures après la publication de la version 16.11.1 Hotfix.
AMD se montre ici réactif face un problème engendré par ses derniers pilotes graphiques. A l’origine d’une baisse possible des performances, il est résolu avec la publication des Radeon Software Crimson 16.11.2 Hotfix.
La note de version indique une intervention au niveau du cache des Shaders. Call of Duty semble se montrer exigeant sur ce point si bien qu’un ajustement était nécessaire pour limiter les risques de baisse de performance.
Hormis cela, il n’y a rien de nouveau, ils proposent les avancées de la version 16.11.1 Hotfix. Nous avons une prise en charge de deux nouveaux titres, Call of Duty : Infinite Warfare et Call of Duty : Modern Warfare Remastered. De son côté Titanfall 2 bénéficie d’un profil Crossfire sous l’API DirectX 11.
Enfin il y a aussi des bugs connus mais non résolus. Ils touchent les jeux Overwatch, DOTA 2, Battlefield 1, FIFA 17, et le contenu H.264.

- Improved Shader Cache storage limit. This will allow the Shader Cache feature to store more shaders for extremely demanding games that may have previously hit the old storage cap.
Known Issues
- A few game titles may fail to launch, experience performance issues or crash if the third party application “Raptr” has its game overlay enabled. A workaround is to disable the overlay if this is experienced.
- DOTA™2 may experience a crash when launched using the Vulkan™ API on some Graphics Core Next products.
- Battlefield™1 may experience an intermittent application specific error message popup citing graphics device removal
- Flickering may be experience while playing Overwatch™ in the main menu or viewing character models using AMD CrossFire mode.
- H.264 content playback may experience playback issues on internet browsers with hardware acceleration when also running gaming applications or content.
- FIFA 17™ may experience an application hang or black screen on launch for some select Hybrid Graphics or AMD PowerXpress mobile configurations.
- H.264 content may experience blocky corruption when streaming using P2P content players on some Radeon RX 400 series graphics products.
