AMD vient de publier les Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.8.1. Ces pilotes graphiques ne sont pas vraiment nouveaux. Il s’agit de la version WHQL de l’édition béta proposée le 12 aout dernier.
Disponibles en téléchargement ces Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.8.1 WHQL marquent une première. Il s’agit des premiers drivers WHQL, y compris pour Windows 7, proposés par AMD depuis le lancement des Radeon RX 5700 series.
Ils apportent plusieurs choses mais sans révolution. AMD améliore la compatibilité de ses nouvelles Radeon RX 5700 Series. Nous avons la prise en charge de la DRM Microsoft PlayReady 3.0 soit le support de la norme HDCP 2.2 (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection). Elle permet par exemple de profiter de l’Ultra HD avec Netflix au travers du navigateur Edge ou de l’application Netflix pour Windows 10.
A cela s’ajoute plusieurs corrections de bugs. AMD annonce avoir corrigé un souci d’écran noir avec les jeux en plein écran si l’overclocking automatique est activé. Le bug de perte d’affichage sous Windows 7 lors de la désinstallation du pilote est résolu tandis que les enregistrements vidéo Radeon ReLive fonctionnent sous Windows 7 avec un GPU Navi.
A tout ceci s’ajoute un patch contre le bug de performance dans certains jeux si la fonction Radeon Anti-Lag est activée. Enfin AMD corrige un souci de rendu de couleurs sous Windows 10 May 2019 Update avec les moniteurs 10 bit. Il faut par contre installer la mise à jour cumulative KB4505903 publiée à la fin du mois de juillet par Microsoft.

Ces drivers graphiques ne sont pas parfaits. Ils s’accompagnent de plusieurs problèmes non corrigés. Tous les détails sont disponibles en fin d’article.

Fixed Issues
- Some system configurations may experience color corruption after install of Radeon Software when running Windows® 10 May 2019 update. Issue is resolved in the latest Windows Update 18362.267 (KB4505903)
- Radeon Chill settings may not sync with game profile settings when changed in-game through Radeon Overlay
- Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products may experience a black screen or flickering when applying auto overclocking memory with games or applications running in fullscreen
- Radeon AntiLag may slightly impact performance in select games
- Radeon RX 5700 Series Graphics may experience a black screen during uninstall on Windows 7 system configurations. A work around is to perform uninstall in safe mode.
- Recording clips with Radeon ReLive may result in blank clips on Radeon RX 5700 Series Graphics with Windows 7 system configurations.
Known Issues
- Stutter may be experienced when Radeon FreeSync is enabled on 240hz refresh displays with Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.
- Radeon Performance Metrics may report incorrect VRAM utilization.
- AMD Radeon VII may experience elevated memory clocks at idle or on desktop.
- Radeon Overlay may intermittently fail to appear when toggled in game.
- Audio for clips captured by Radeon ReLive may be corrupted or garbled when desktop recording is enabled.
- Enabling Enhanced Sync may cause game, application or system crashes on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.
