AMD profite du lancement de la Radeon RX 460 pour dévoiler une nouvelle version de ses pilotes graphiques Radeon Crimson Edition. Estampillés, ils apportent la prise en charge de nouveaux matériels, des corrections de bugs et de nouveaux profils Crossfire.
Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.8.1 Hotfix, bugs, performances et nouveaux matériels
Les Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.8.1 sont disponibles en téléchargement. Ce hotfix16.8.1 apporte la prise en charge des Radeon RX 460 et 470 et ajoute un nouveau profil Crossfire pour le titre F1 2016.
A cela s’ajoute plusieurs corrections de bugs. AMD propose une correction pour le souci de fréquence maximale avec la Radeon RX 480. Des patchs s’attaquent à différents problèmes de Crossfire (RX 480 et OverWatch, Dota 2, The Division) et à de faibles performances sous certains jeux comme Wolfenstein: The Old Blood avec une Radeon RX 480. Enfin il y a aussi la résolution des problèmes de reconnaissance du pilote Vulkan et de la version de l’API
AMD souligne qu’il ne devrait plus avoir de soucis avec le navigateur Firefox si l’accélération matérielle est activée pour la lecture de contenu.
Il y a encore des soucis connus non résolus.
En termes de compatibilité, AMD propose 6 fichiers téléchargeables. Ils ciblent les environnements Windows 7, Windows 8.1 et Windows 10 en version 32 ou 64-bit. Il est fortement recommander de redémarrer son PC après l’installation de ces nouveaux drivers afin que les changements prennent effets.

Fixed Issues:
– Max memory overclock available on Radeon RX 480 being too low in Radeon WattMan has been resolved.
– Overwatch may experience an application crash on some Radeon RX 480 configurations when using AMD Crossfire technology mode.
– The Division poor Crossfire scaling may be experienced in some low resolution configurations when using AMD Crossfire technology mode.
– DOTA2 may experience lower than expected performance when in AMD Crossfire mode.
– Radeon Settings may not report the correct Vulkan driver or API version information.
– Firefox may experience an application crash when hardware acceleration is enabled for content playback.
– Low frame rate or stutter may be experienced Wolfenstein: The Old Blood on Radeon RX 480.
– Updating drivers through Radeon Settings may sometimes fail with an error message.
Known Issues:
– A few game titles may fail to launch or crash if the AMD Gaming Evolved overlay is enabled. A temporary workaround is to disable the AMD Gaming Evolved “In Game Overlay”.
– Ark Survival Evolved may experience an error message when trying to launch the game in some configurations.
– DOTA2 may experience an application hang when using the Vulkan API and changing resolution or game/quality settings.
– Corruption may be experienced in Rise of the Tomb Raider using the DirectX12 API on some Hybrid Graphics configurations when performing a task switch.
– Shader Cache may remain be enabled when set to “off” in Radeon Settings on some Hybrid Graphics configurations.
– Radeon RX 480 graphics may experience intermittent stuttering in The Division when high game settings are used and vsync is enabled.
– Battlefield 4 may experience intermittent crashes when using Mantle. As a work around users are suggested to switch to DirectX11.
– Radeon Pro Duo may experience a black screen in Total War: Warhammer with the games API set to DirectX12 and V-Sync enabled.
– World of Tanks may experience stuttering after performing a task switch in AMD Crossfire mode.
– Rocket League may experience flickering when in AMD Crossfire mode.
– Ashes of the Singularity may experience an application crash with “crazy” in game settings and Multi-GPU enabled.
NOTE:
– This driver is not intended for use on AMD Radeon products running in Apple Boot Camp platforms. Users of these platforms should contact their system manufacturer for driver support.
– When installing Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.8.1 for the Windows operating system, the user must be logged on as Administrator, or have Administrator rights to complete the installation of Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.8.1.
– Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.8.1 requires Windows 7 Service Pack 1 to be installed.

How-To Uninstall AMD Radeon Software:
– Start by opening the Control Panel
– For Windows 10/8.1, right-click on the Windows button and select Control Panel from the Context Menu
– For Windows 7, click on the Windows button and select Control Panel from the Start Menu
– In the Control Panel select Programs and Features
– Select AMD Install Manager and then click Uninstall/Change
– Check all items, and then click the Uninstall button.
– Note: If you had others versions of AMD drivers installed previously, you should get an additional prompt providing the options to remove All Versions or Current Version.
– Select All Versions to remove all AMD drivers and application components (recommended).
– Select Current Version will uninstall only the latest version of the drivers and its related components.
– The uninstall process will begin removing drivers and software components.
– Select Restart Now to complete the uninstallation process.
– To verify that the AMD Radeon Software has been removed from the system, return to the Program and Features list, and check that there are no AMD entries. If AMD specific entries are still listed, remove them using the above process.
How-To Install AMD Radeon Software:
– Ensure that any existing versions of AMD Radeon Software on the system have been uninstalled before proceeding with installing a new driver.
– Close all opened applications including anti-virus, firewall, remote-access, or webcam software before attempting the install process.
– Double-click the downloaded file and select Install to begin file extraction process.
– Note: It is recommended to use the default destination folder for installation.
– Select the desired components or keep default selection (recommended) and click Install.
– The drivers and software components will begin installing.
– Note: The screen will flicker whilst the AMD Radeon Software is being installed. If you have multiple displays, some of them may turn black for a few seconds.
– Once the drivers and software have been successfully installed, choose Restart Now
– Note: A system restart is required to complete the installation process.
