AMD vient de mettre en ligne de nouveaux pilotes graphiques, les Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.2.1. Ils apportent des améliorations de performances, de nouveaux profils multi-GPU, des corrections de bugs et la prise en charge de nouveaux jeux.

AMD annonce pas mal de choses avec cette nouvelle itération des Crimson ReLive Edition. Les performances sont améliorées entre 4 et 5% sous Honor et Sniper Elite 4 avec une Radeon RX 480 tandis que des profils multi-GPU sont proposés pour ces deux jeux.
Il y a également plusieurs corrections de bugs. Elles visent à résoudre les soucis d’activation du FreeSync avec certaines applications exécutées en plein écran, un bug de blocage sous Honor avec une configuration multi-GPU, des problèmes sous Counter-Strike : Global Offensive ou encore la disparation de certaines informations sur le GPU lors d’une capture vidéo avec Relive et les niveaux de fréquences des Radeon R9 380 séries. A cela s’ajoute aussi des solutions concernant des problèmes d’ombres sous Civilation VI avec les Radeon HD 7900.
Malheureusement ces nouveaux pilotes s’accompagnent de problèmes connus et non résolus. Il est ainsi annoncé des bugs sous différentes jeux, citions Honor, Sniper Elite 4, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ou encore World of Warcraft.
AMD propose plusieurs versions afin de s’adresser aux PC sous Windows 7, 8.1 et 10 en version 32 ou 64-bit. Pour l’heure Windows 8.1 32-bit n’est pas pris en charge.
La mise à jour de sa machine passe par le téléchargement de l’archive correspondante à votre matériel et votre OS. Son exécution décompresse les fichiers nécessaires et lance une procédure automatisée d’installation. Il suffit de suivre quelques étapes à l’écran. Une fois l’opération terminée, il est faut redémarrer son ordinateur afin que les changements prennent effet.

Fixed Issues
- For Honor may experience an application crash when switching to fullscreen or menus in gameplay on Multi GPU configurations
- On some Radeon GCN products DXVA H.264 encoded video may experience corruption when fast forwarding or seeking through content
- AMD FreeSync technology mode may fail to enable itself on some fullscreen applications.
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has incorrect default slider values with Radeon Chill enabled. Users can modify these values to suit the experience they want.
- Graphics processor information may be missing from system information overlay on Radeon ReLive captured videos.
- DayZ may experience an application crash when Radeon ReLive Instant Replay/Recording is active or the feature may not work as expected.
- Memory clocks may become locked at low states on Radeon R9 380 series products.
- Radeon ReLive recording in fullscreen with Windows Media Player or Power DVD may experience flickering.
- AMD Radeon HD 7900 series products may experience shadow corruption when shadows are disabled in Civilization VI.
- GRID Autosport may experience an application hang when enabling the advanced lighting graphics option
Known Issues
- For Honor may experience game menu flickering issues or fail to render after performing a task switch in 4x Multi GPU system configurations.
- Adjusting Radeon WattMan settings on some Radeon R9 380 series products may cause display flickering or application hangs.
- AMD FreeSync technology mode may not be compatible or function with Sniper Elite 4.
- Enabling supersampling in Sniper Elite 4 may cause image cropping.
- Radeon Settings may crash on switching Windows user after toggling AMD CrossFire technology mode.
- A small amount of apps may still experience issues with Borderless Fullscreen mode and AMD FreeSync technology if other applications or game launchers are running on the primary screen in the background.
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and World of Warcraft may experience flickering or performance issues the first time the game is launched on a system boot with AMD FreeSync technology enabled. Workarounds include exiting and restarting the application or task switching (alt+tab) in and out of the game to fix the issue.
Known Issues for Radeon ReLive
- The XBOX DVR application may cause conflicts with Radeon ReLive, users are suggested to disable XBOX DVR if Radeon ReLive is experiencing issues.
- Radeon ReLive may fail to install on AMD APU Family products or experience a system hang or failure to record when using the recording feature on AMD APU Family products.
- Radeon ReLive may stop working after hot unplugging of a secondary display.
- Radeon ReLive may experience minor graphical corruption for the first few recorded frames when launching UWP applications.
- Radeon ReLive will not allow recording settings to change with Instant Replay enabled. A workaround is to disable Instant Replay and change settings then enable Instant Replay.
- Vulkan applications may experience a game hang when using Radeon ReLive to record.
- Radeon ReLive will not notify an end user of low disk space during recording.
- System information overlay is only generated on first run and will not be repopulated when system configuration is changed.
- Radeon ReLive may not function when Hyper-V is enabled on Windows.

How-To Uninstall AMD Radeon Software:
- Start by opening the Control Panel
- For Windows 10/8.1, right-click on the Windows button and select Control Panel from the Context Menu
- For Windows 7, click on the Windows button and select Control Panel from the Start Menu
- In the Control Panel select Programs and Features
- Select AMD Install Manager and then click Uninstall/Change
- Check all items, and then click the Uninstall button.
- Note: If you had others versions of AMD drivers installed previously, you should get an additional prompt providing the options to remove All Versions or Current Version.
- Select All Versions to remove all AMD drivers and application components (recommended).
- Select Current Version will uninstall only the latest version of the drivers and its related components.
- The uninstall process will begin removing drivers and software components.
- Select Restart Now to complete the uninstallation process.
- To verify that the AMD Radeon Software has been removed from the system, return to the Program and Features list, and check that there are no AMD entries. If AMD specific entries are still listed, remove them using the above process.
How-To Install AMD Radeon Software:
Ensure that any existing versions of AMD Radeon Software on the system have been uninstalled before proceeding with installing a new driver.
- Close all opened applications including anti-virus, firewall, remote-access, or webcam software before attempting the install process.
- Double-click the downloaded file and select Install to begin file extraction process.
- Note: It is recommended to use the default destination folder for installation.
- Select the desired components or keep default selection (recommended) and click Install.
- The drivers and software components will begin installing.
- Note: The screen will flicker whilst the AMD Radeon Software is being installed. If you have multiple displays, some of them may turn black for a few seconds.
- Once the drivers and software have been successfully installed, choose Restart Now
- Note: A system restart is required to complete the installation process.
