L’équipe de développement de Wine vient d’annoncer une nouvelle itération de son application. Wine 2.3 débarque avec en poche des corrections de bugs, des améliorations pour plusieurs jeux Windows et des nouveautés.
Wine est un logiciel proposant une implémentation libre de l’interface de programmation Windows bâtie sur X et UNIX (BSD, Linux). L’utilisateur peut ainsi profiter d’applications Windows sous Linux ou Mac OS X.
Wine 2.3, corrections de bugs, nouveautés et améliorations
Wine 2.3 fait partie de la branche 2.0 inaugurée en début d’année. Cette version apporte pas mal de choses à commencer par des améliorations du support ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) pour les plates-formes 64-bits. A cela s’ajoute d’avantage d’instructions Shader Model 5 et un enrichissement des commandes Direct3D. Selon le fichier de version, de nombreux bugs signalés par la communauté ont été corrigé. Au total 41 patchs sont de la partie.
Parmi les listes des applications Windows qui ont profité d’améliorations nous retrouvons PuTTY 0.60, Microsoft Word 2007, Poedit 1.7.4, Audacity 2.1.0, MalwareBytes, Zoner Photo Studio 18, 3DMark2001 SE, SPG-Verein 3.2, Kontact 5.6, ComputeMark 2.1, Acid Pro Trial 7.0e et SteuerSparErklaerung 2017.
A tout ceci s’ajoute des retouches du mode multijoueur de Culture 3, des corrections de rendu pour Revenant, Tera Online ou encore StarCraft II. Necropolis, Mortal Kombat X, Final Fantasy V (crashes), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (crash au démarage), Final Fantasy XI Online (crashes), The Witcher 3 et Kholat.
