Microsoft vient de publier une nouvelle mise à jour cumulative Windows 10. Facultative, elle vise les PC sous Windows 10 v1903 ou 1909. L’objectif est de corriger plusieurs problèmes.
Il n’est pas étonnant que la même mise à jour cumulative débarque sous ces deux environnements. Les deux OS partagent un ensemble identique de fichiers « système ». A ce sujet Microsoft explique
« Windows 10 version 1903 et 1909 partagent un système d’exploitation de base commun et un ensemble identique de fichiers système. En conséquence, les nouvelles fonctionnalités de 1909 ont été incluses dans la mise à jour mensuelle de qualité publiée le 8 octobre 2019 pour 1903. Elles sont actuellement dans un état dormant. Ces nouvelles fonctionnalités resteront dormantes jusqu’à ce qu’elles soient activées à l’aide d’un package d’activation. »
Windows 10 et KB4577062, des corrections de bugs
Pour revenir à la mise à jour cumulative KB4577062, elle propose plusieurs modifications importantes. La plus marquante concerne le navigateur Internet Explorer. Une notification fait son apparition pour informer l’utilisateur de la fin de la prise en charge de Flash Player.
Edge et Internet Explorer, Microsoft annonce l’abandon de Flash Player
Adobe a annoncé en 2017 qu’il allait abandonner Flash Player à la fin 2020. La date butoir est désormais proche ce qui explique les préparatifs de Microsoft. Internet Explorer et Microsoft Edge ne prendront plus en charge Flash Player.
En parallèle nous avons la résolution d’un souci poussant certaines applications à entrer en état de réparation. Elles ne peuvent alors plus s’exécuter. Des améliorations sont apportées du coté du « pen » . Certains appareils ne répondent plus après l’avoir utilisé pendant plusieurs heures.
A tout ceci s’ajoute la correction d’un bug affectant l’Explorateur de fichiers. L’application se ferme de manière inattendue dans certaines circonstances. Nous retrouvons aussi des patchs pour les associations d’applications par défaut, le Surface Pro X et le Surface 3. Pour ces derniers le problème concerne l’utilisation du stylet Surface Slim Pen. Il peut provoquer un plantage de la machine.
Tout le contenu de cette mise à jour facultative sera proposé dans le cadre du prochain Patch Tuesday. Il s’agit de la grande maintenance mensuelle de Microsoft. En clair ce contenu sera déployé de manière automatique en octobre. En attendant si vous souhaitez l’installer, il faut se rendre dans Windows Update pour déclencher son téléchargement et son installation.
