Dans le cadre du Patch Tuesday de septembre 2017, Microsoft déploie plusieurs mises à jour dites “cumulatives” dont KB4038788, KB4038782, KB4038783. Elles s’adressent aux différentes versions de Windows 10.
Comme nous vous l’annoncions, Microsoft propose depuis le mardi 12 septembre de nouvelles mises à jour cumulatives. Elles débarquent dans le cadre de sa grande maintenance de son écosystème logiciel connu sous le nom de Patch Tuesday. Ces patchs ne s’intéressent qu’aux problèmes de sécurité ou d’instabilité. Il n’y a pas de nouvelle fonctionnalité.
Patch Tuesday, toutes les version de Windows 10 sont concernées
KB4038788 s’adresse aux ordinateurs sous la toute dernière itération de Windows 10, Creators Update. Son installation permet au système d’évoluer vers la version 15063.608. La note de version évoque une longue liste de correctifs ainsi qu’une nouvelle version de MS16-087. Cette dernière concerne la sécurité autour du Spooler d’impression de l’OS. A cela s’ajoute des patchs pour d’autres composants allant des navigateurs Microsoft Edge ou Internet Explorer au Shell en passant par le noyau de Windows
De son côté KB4038782 reprend l’essentiel de ces correctifs mais les applique cette version à Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Microsoft ajoute cependant quelques corrections spécifique à cette version afin d’améliorer l’expérience utilisateur et les performances. Par exemple le bug à l’origine de l’erreur 0xc0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION lors de l’installation de pilotes est censé disparaitre. Vous retrouverez tous les détails en fin d’article.
Enfin Microsoft déploie également KB4038783 pour Windows 10 v1511 (version de novembre 2015). Là encore le contenu est assez similaire avec une nouvelle version de MS16-087 et plusieurs patchs de sécurités et corrections de bugs.
L’installation nécessite un redémarrage du PC. Il est fortement recommandé de bien enregistrer son travail avant de débuter l’opération. A ce stade, nous n’avons pas connaissance de problème particulier.

- Addressed issue where saving a credential with an empty password to Credential Manager causes the system to crash when attempting to use that credential.

d’autre part le fichier < MSVCP100.dll ne fonctionne pas !
