Microsoft vient de publier une nouvelle mise à jour cumulative pour Windows 10 v1903 alias Mai 2019 Update. Elle est testée depuis plusieurs jours sur l’anneau Release Preview du programme Windows Insider.
KB4505903 n’est pas une « petite » mise à jour cumulative dans le sens où elle introduit des améliorations importantes. Tous les détails sont disponibles en fin d’article. Microsoft indique avoir résolu des problèmes empêchant Windows Hello de fonctionner correctement (reconnaissance faciale). Un correctif s’attarde sur un souci de modification de la luminosité après une sortie de veille ou de veille prolongée. A tout ceci s’ajoute la résolution d’un dysfonctionnement du menu Démarrer lorsque de nouveaux utilisateurs se connectent à Windows.
Il est important de noter que KB4505903 résout un problème entraînant l’arrêt du service RASMAN. A ce sujet, Microsoft explique
« Nous avons corrigé un problème pouvant empêcher le service RASMAN (Remote Access Connection Manager) de fonctionner. L’erreur «0xc0000005» peut s’afficher sur les périphériques dont le niveau de données de diagnostic est configuré manuellement sur un paramètre différent de 0. Vous pouvez également recevoir une erreur dans la section Application des journaux Windows dans l’observateur d’événements avec l’ID d’événement 1000 faisant référence “svchost.exe_RasMan” et “rasman.dll”. Ce problème ne se produit que lorsqu’un profil de réseau privé virtuel (VPN) est configuré en tant que connexion AOVPN (Always On VPN) avec ou sans tunnel de périphérique. »

KB4505903 n’est pas parfait. Elle s’accompagne de trois problèmes connus et non corrigés. Aucun d’eux n’est spécifique à cette mise à jour cumulative. Ils sont tous issus d’autres Update.
Cette mise à jour est disponible dès maintenant au travers du service Windows Update.
