Windows10, KB5000842 débarque pour booster les performances de l’explorateur de fichiers

Une nouvelle mise à jour Windows 10 facultative est proposée par Windows Update. Nommé KB5000842 elle s’adresse aux PC sous Windows 10 20H1 ou 20H2. Il est possible de la récupérer manuellement via le service en ligne Catalog Update.

KB5000842 est une mise à jour Windows 10 facultative. Son installation permet à l’OS de progresser en version 19042.906. Ce nombre est important car il permet de s’assurer que l’installation s’est déroulée avec succès. Vous pouvez le dénicher en lançant « winver.exe » dans Exécuter (WIN+R).

Pour revenir à KB5000842, nous n’avons pas de nouvelle fonctionnalité. Microsoft propose plusieurs correctifs et des améliorations pour l’explorateur de fichiers afin d’accroitre ses performances. Pour récupérer cette mise à jour vous avez plusieurs solutions.

Elle doit normalement apparaitre dans la partie « Mise à jour de qualité facultative disponible » du service « Windows Update » après avoir recherche des mises à jour.

La deuxième solution est de se rendre sur le site Catalog Update de Microsoft pour la récupérer manuellement.

Son installation est censée corriger plusieurs problèmes dont certains concernent Zoom, le mode HDR et la lecture vidéo en mode dupliqué si plusieurs moniteurs sont présents. Microsoft corrige le bug affectant le module de recherche de l’explorateur de fichiers tout proposant des solutions pour des problèmes autour du clavier tactile avec le mode portrait et la technologie audio 7.1 canaux. Nous avons également des corrections pour des problèmes de performances causés par « explorer.exe ». Dans certaines situations une consommation trop importante des ressources systèmes est observée, ce qui affecte évidemment les performances générales de la machine. Enfin cette mise à jour cumulative doit normalement résoudre un souci de plantage de la souris ou de clavier lorsque des fichiers/dossiers synchronisés avec OneDrive sont supprimés.
