Shuttle met à jour son catalogue de Mini-PC avec le passage en douceur vers la dernière génération de processeur Intel alias Skylake. Le XPC XH170V est annoncé.
Ce Mini-PC d’un volume d’un peu plus de trois litres est un barebone. Il offre les bases pour se monter une configuration Intel sous processeur Core de sixième génération, alias Skylake. Il embarque une carte mère au chipset H170 et socket LGA 1151 (FH170V, Mini-ITX). Son architecture prend en charge un SSD M.2, deux disques durs 2,5 pouces et un lecteur slimline. Le châssis est en acier tandis que la finition propose du noir laqué.
Shuttle opte pour une stratégie d’évolution en douceur en limitant les investissements puisque si Skylake est annoncé avec un contrôleur mémoire DDR4, le XPC XH170 s’appuie de son coite sur l’usage de DDR3L-1333/1600 (PC3-10600/12800) avec un maximum de 16 Go au travers de deux slots. A cela s’ajoute un emplacement MiniPCIe 2.0 x1, trois connecteurs SATA 6 Gb/s ainsi que quatre ports USB 2.0, quatre ports USB 3.0, des ports eSATA, RS-232 et Gigabit Ethernet. Du coté vidéo nous avons deux sorties DisplayPort 1.2 et un HDMI 1.4.
L’engin peut être utilisé à l’horizontale ou à la verticale. Il se présente avec des dimensions de 40 x 200 x 72 mm pour un poids de 2,2 kilogrammes. Il s’accompagne d’une alimentation et d’un système de refroidissement pour le processeur.
Il y a à ce sujet une restriction puisque la puce Skylake ne devra pas dépasser un TDP de 65 Watts, impossible donc de profiter d’un Core i7-6700K. Enfin le bundle s’accompagne d’une alimentation externe de 90 Watts.
Le prix de vente conseillé du barebone XH170V est de 269 euros. La disponibilité est immédiate.
